Sababurg, a castle that goes back to the 14th century, claims to be the authentic Dornröschenschloss (Sleeping Beauty Castle). It certainly looks the part with turrets, thick forests, and, of course, roses. The castle was rebuilt as a hunting lodge for the counts of Hesse and c/schloss Sababurg. Rooms are comfortable, with the tower room particularly romantic. The restaurant serves local specialties, including venison and other game.
